One question our coaches commonly receive relates to workout ideas that members can take with them while they are away. With limited or no access to bumper plates, rowers, and other specialized equipment, it can be difficult to keep your workouts creative while you are away on an extended hiatus.

On 12/19/2010, CrossFit Thin Blue Line hosted its first ever Holiday WOD Competition and the turnout was fantastic. Nearly 32 people were in attendance and everyone involved including our coaches, members, and especially their loved ones (who came to watch) had a great time. Here’s how it all went down …

We decided to throw a little curve ball to our athletes and hit them with a SWAT/Military type workout that involved some exercises that they hadn’t yet performed. Everyone did great and the average time to complete the 3 laps of the obstacle style course, was about 35 minutes. The athletes loved the course and we will surely incorporate more of these types of workouts in the future. Great job and here was the WOD in order:
The week of September 6th was a great week for the athletes. This week we threw some tough WOD’s, including the always brutal Fran and Fight Gone Bad. Our athletes posted some great numbers and it’s easy for the Coaches to see that everybody is improving steadily and that weight, rounds, reps and form are getting better and better …
