Extended Blue Line Program Addition

“If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you”

A months ago we implemented an Olympic Lifting class that followed a regimented schedule and program.  We have gotten great results and feedback from that, so we’ve been looking to expand.  We’d like to announce the addition of our new “Extended Blue Line” program.

The three major goals with this program are:

  1. To promote a team environment that encourages our community to work hard and expand upon themselves as athletes and coaches, further striving for virtuosity (performing the common uncommonly well)
  2. To provide those interested in pursuing more volume and more technical workouts the time, means, and structure to maximize their athletic potential and search of greater fitness
  3. To challenge our athletes and coaches with an additional layer of programming to embody CrossFit’s Ten General Physical Skills and idea of fitness:  constantly varied, high intensity, functional movements.

These sessions are designed to be well-rounded and work cohesively with the current class programming.  They will focus on more progressive skill and strength work all while still taking the time to master the basics.  The idea is that involved athletes will participate in another scheduled crossfit class that day, with the Extended class before/after.  They are not necessarily classes to stand alone but absolutely can if schedules dictate for that individual.  It will be programmed separately but as a complement to the current programming that all CrossFit classes follow.  There will be regular open gym hours during these times, as well!

In conclusion, the Open is right around the corner and we’d really like to gain participation and expand current skills; it is always open to all and the workouts will fit with anyone at any skill level!  So whether you’re looking to push the CrossFit envelope and go to the next level, or you’re looking for a further challenge to address your weakness and strengths, this program is for you.  Join us Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8-9am and 6-7pm!
